With a background in art, design and architectural lighting, Ramees brings a creative yet practical approach to designing meaningful and experiential spaces.

Originally from Kerala, India, he moved to Dubai at the age of 22 to pursue his interest in art and design. His lighting design journey began with Linealight Dubai, followed by experience as a lighting designer with Nulty Lighting and Light.Func. These experiences shaped his understanding of lighting as both a technical discipline and a creative tool for architecture.

He believes that good lighting should do more than illuminate a space; it should create atmosphere, reveal character, and give people an experience they remember. This belief led him to establish Larkish, with the aim of developing helpful lighting environments that connect architecture, people, and place.

Sinsiya has a natural eye for composition and a particular interest in the way interiors are shaped by light. Her background in interior design gives her a strong understanding of proportion, material, colour and the relationship between people and space.

Her journey with Larkish began as an intern, where she quickly developed an interest in lighting and gained experience across a range of architectural and interior projects. She has since grown into the role of Lighting Designer and now takes an active role in guiding the design team and developing projects from concept through to delivery.

For Sinsiya, the most rewarding part of lighting design is discovering how a carefully placed source of light can completely change the feeling of a space.

Good design needs good thinking behind it. Raees brings the practical and commercial perspective that helps turn creative ideas into well-structured projects.

His experience across construction and business management has given him a strong understanding of project coordination, stakeholder relationships, commercial planning and the realities of delivering work on the ground.

He supports the practice's business and operational development while helping build relationships that create new opportunities. His approach is straightforward and pragmatic: understand the objective, bring the right people together and find a way to make things happen.

Arshad is fascinated by the space between a good idea and the way that idea is communicated. His role is to make sure the thinking behind Larkish's work is seen, understood, and remembered.

Working across branding, marketing, digital communication, and business development, he helps shape the studio's identity and its relationship with the wider architecture and design community.

Naturally curious and always looking for a different angle, Arshad brings energy and creativity to the business side of the practice. He works closely with the design team to turn projects, ideas, and experiences into stories that people want to engage with.

Architecture has always been central to the way Shahama sees space. Her interest in art, craft and the built environment naturally led her towards lighting, where she found an opportunity to work with form, material and atmosphere in a different way.

Her approach is subtle and considered. Rather than treating lighting as an independent layer, she looks at how light interacts with surfaces, textures and architectural details to reveal what is already there.

Her work covers concept development, design coordination and project delivery, with a particular interest in creating environments where light feels naturally embedded within the architecture.
